Power armor and fusion cores.

Didn't see a topic about it, but I could have missed one.

Either way you can use power aor with a depleted fusion core.

If your fusion core gets depleted you cannot use VATS, you cannot use power attacks, and you move slower.

However you still have are walking tank, even if you are a slower walking tank.

can you eject from the dead unpowered armor mid combat? say a death claw grabs you like in the video is going to finish you off . can I eject from the armor save myself and then fight with just regular armor from my inventory and my hand weapons?

That's because someone went spoilers without properly spoiler-ing with spoiler tags.

Spoiler
that scenario was a scripted death animation. Basicaly the game has decided that the next hit is a fatality and plays that.

As far as I could see the only way to bail out of power armor is Basicaly a reverse of the get in animation.

And honestly once you get a couple of cells you should just set up a personal rule of only running the pa when you have a supply that lasts you your estimated play time for that session, or long enough for you to get there and back if you need powerarmor for a mission.
