Will I be able to play fallout 4?

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 10:09 pm

I was planning on just buying it on Steam, and then if I couldn't play it just refund it

but...

It would be nice to have some peace of mind to know if I should even attempt it and possibly waste $60

Here's my specs:

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-5500U CPU @2.40GHz (4CPUs), ~2.4GHz
  • Memory: 8GBs of RAM
  • Display: Intel HD Graphics 5500
  • Render: Nvidia GeForce 920M

That's all I thought to put in, but if I need to add more for an accurate prediction then just say what else I need

Thanks for the help :)

There's a designated thread for this.

It's a laptop, I don't know how to change that or even if I could. I just click play on steam on then let my laptop work it all out

I doubt you will be able to run it the game. I think the best would be at low and that is a big maybe. Your CPU is below the min specs and your video card will be taking quite a bit away from your 8 gigs ram which is also the minimum for the game.

If I had to take a guess, even min specs are overshot to hell and back. Plus there will be graphical reduction mods.

Still I would off until more information is out on the performance with a laptop with that type of card and specs.

Also quite often Bethesda's game are quite dependent on the CPU.

Yes there will likely be some mods that might help with performance but sometimes that can take time to be made.

We do have a thread for these types of questions here:

http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1543446-unofficial-will-my-pc-run-fallout-4-thread-7/

It's been moved to the PC Hardware/Software Issues section of the FO4 forum.

My opinion is that if the game runs on that 920M, it would be rock bottom low settings.
