I'm curious if you have to pick perks in order under each SPECIAL, to unlock the next one, or can you go straight to perk 5 in that tree? Take Lone Wanderer for example in Charisma. Do we have to select Cap Collector and Lady Killer first, or can we go straight to Lone Wanderer if we choose? Some of the perks don't look that useful for my play style, so I hope i can skip some of them.

If you meet the requirements, you take the perk you want. No milling through all the other perks first. Though keep in mind that perks have level requirements as you rank them up, and those you do have to go through in order (so no going straight to Rank 5 Sneak).

Right on. Yeah i've seen the requirements for the different levels of each perk. I just didn't want to get forced picking some of the earlier ones in that tree. I'm going to be so excited to play Fallout 4 tomorrow night at midnight, that i'll probably spend the first hour in the perk tree and level up lol
