I think the movement looks logical. Can't expect a human with such a heavy tank-like armor to move like a ballerina dancer. This ain't anime mecha.

Could it be possible that the reason is because you're basically walking around in a giant suit of metal? I like to see you try to move with grace in that thing.

well it's not iron man suit or a gaint mech. It's just a tank suit for humans so it should move like that.

"No need to describe what it looks like, since it has been pictured so often. Suited up, you look like a big steel gorilla, armed with gorilla-sized weapons. (This may be why a sergeant generally opens his remarks with "You apes -- " However, it seems more likely that Caesar's sergeants used the same honorific.)"

I don't recall seeing anyone that wears big bulky power armor not run like a fatass.

StarCraft, Warhammer, Fallout, Starship Troopers, Halo Reach's book, etc.

40K Space Marines are preternaturally strong and fast. You recall incorrectly. None of these have ever run like an out of shape fat person.

It's powered. It is not grace (or jelly rolls) but strength that will be augmented. Respectfully, we shouldn't have the unathletic evaluate human movement

Even as big and bulky gorillas there's no reason to be flopping jelly rolls all over the place

What - you didn't want to be inside it for the rest of the game? ;) Hold down the 'Use' button while not looking at anything and you'll step out of it.

Hard for me to say yet, as my copy is on the truck for delivery as we type, and all I've seen was from posted video. (Still trying to avoid spoiling myself too much, though.) If you have loose bits flopping around when you run in the PA, visible in chase camera, then I'd have to agree that that would look ridiculous. I do stand by Heinlein's description of someone wearing powered armor looking like a hypercephalic gorilla.
