I cannot believe it, the subtitles are terrible on Fallout 4...

I played three hours in and there are quite a few issues with it:

At the beginning, the subtitles constantly overlaps with each other. For example I want to listen to an important guy but the subtitles is following some other unimportant woman and sometimes back to the important guy but then follows someone else ...

Second issue is so appalling... When I engaged in dialogue system and choose one option, the subtitles shows the first paragraph of what the other guy is saying but once that guy finished saying that paragraph and begins to speak another paragraph... The subtitles never show another paragraph and is instead 'stuck' on the first paragraph and there I was... having no idea what the other guy is saying because I'm deaf.

I was forced to reload...

I can't follow the story at all, please fix this. I'm on PS4 btw.

The subtitles are terrible, at least on PS4. I basically resigned myself to playing with them off.

Same for me, however it's only with dialogue and not the general subtitles I've noticed. I decided just to turn them off so it doesn't bother me.
