Allow us to destroy intact houses in settlements

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 8:32 pm

Hello! First of all, thank you all from Bethesda involved in the development of this awesome game.
This is my first post, i actually registered here just to leave this feedback, because i feel like it's a very strong flaw in the game at the moment.
It was a bad idea to prevent us from scrapping intact houses in settlements. I wanna clean up my Sanctuary settlement but i can only scrap the destroyed houses.

I really hope this issue will be addressed in a patch, or something.
There is a chance i'm just being stupid and probably doing something wrong, if that's the case please enlighten me, how the fudge do i destroy intact houses?

Same, here... tried everything, cleaning the house from within, around it still nothing :(

Would be awesomme if we could demolish all and rebuid it!

+1. Unless demo charges are a thing we can get later on? I'd just like to clear lines of sight, and plan out the area a bit more.

I get what you're saying but it *would* be a bit unrealistic to tear down a perfectly good house when resources are so limited.

I would be fine with those intact houses if we could at least clear their interior, and refurnish the doors and windows.

But we can't even put doors in those intact houses, i can't scrap/replace or move the broken un-interactive furniture inside them.

This is making my OCD levels go off the charts.

I disagree. It's very easy to role-play that that house was damaged in some way or structurally unsound. Houses IRL have been condemned for reasons far less (visually) apparent than the dilapidated state that many of these "sound" houses are in.

I say let us demolish everything so we can rebuild it as we see fit.

Ah, I see your point. I didn't realize you couldn't replace the interior items.

I agree it is a major hassle. Not sure if it is ocd level, but it just makes me crazy I can build a house from scratch on razed plot. But cant put in one door to cover gaping doorless entry on standing house.

I think it's a shame that I can't at least sweep away the leaves...

I had to tidy Shaun's room and put all his toys out.

I may add more toys...

But it's fine.

I expect settlement assets will be modding nirvana on both PC and console.
