what if I join another faction? does it effect the main story?

or can I just join everyone for now and do their quests, like it was in New Vegas?

-also is there any main difference between Laser Rifles and normal bullet Rifles?

they are both affected by that rifle perk, aren't they?

I don't need to pick extra energy perks, except the one that lets me craft more things for them?

-does Mama Murphy ever leave her chair?

I want to move it into another house and she is always on it never even seen her sleeping

-also a little bit overwhelmed by the amount of .38 ammo ^^ what do you do with it?

You could use guns that take .38 ammo

If I get it right some foes can be resistant to certain weapon fire.

As for the factions?

Don't know, play it and find out.

I'm doing well in one faction but have been asked to join another.
