The first thing you did?

Post » Thu Dec 03, 2015 10:21 am

Obviously by now, we've all left Vault 111, been to Sanctuary and Concord, what was the first thing you did when you did after visiting those places

Me and Dogmeat headed off down the North/South border and I loved it, seeing people little settlements, I found it great that I found a female trader in the back of the woods with a little farm out of the way of everyone, wasn't even a "location" those things make me love this game even more!

I have got to say, after playing Fallout 3/NV & Skyrim, in my opinion this world feels the most alive and I love it!, so what was your first experience leaving the Vault! Be sure to post story's below!

The first thing I did was raid the Vault-Tek shed/trailer/whatever thing next to the vault.

I beat a gunner to death with my 10mm pistol... I didn't have any bullets left.

First thing I did was made a wrong turn trying to get back home, only to run into a group of raiders. They promptly killed me. Good thing I don't play DID.

This.

Maybe we should agree as to the first thing after Concord? Almost everyone's probably going to take the V111->Sanctuary Hills->Concord route to pick up the sweet happy fun thing at Concord asap.

Went to Sanctuary, got dogmeat, and headed to Concord, then to Covenant. Did the side quest there, very interesting. I'm only about 6 hours in but I'm very happy with the game, especially the atmosphere. I got that warm and fuzzy fallout feeling and it just feels great to be back.

I followed the main quest until I reached downtown. I want to go as basic as possible on my first playthrough because I know I will do a ton of new playthroughs for years to come.

After the battle at Concord I walked my over encumbered self back to sanctuary and tore the whole place down after a short time of lamenting that i did not have enough wood and steel. Built a bunch of stuff minus food then followed the quest to tenpenny, I think it was called, looted the drive inn on the way to the factory and got blown up by a landmine.

After the Concord thing I chilled with the Settlers in Sanctuary for a time messing with the building system then headed southeast a bit discovering the Ranger Shack with the holotype of the Runaway. Kept going and hacked a terminal at some Fleet place with a few Feral Ghouls (terrifying as hell) and got the bot to help me.

I went to Diamond City.

I was expecting to get slaughtered on my way there as I remember going to the city right away in New Vegas would result in battles with REALLY hard enemies, but I managed to get there without ever getting in trouble ( I was actually kinda dissapointed by that )

I was somewhat dissapointed by how fast I got there to, considering that Diamond City is half way a cross the map. The map is a lot smaller than I thought it would be
