Red Rocket Truck Stop

Hey all

I was wondering if you guys have found some way into making this area a useful settlement to build upon? I read on a forum post yesterday of a dude being able to turn this place into his Industrial heaven that basically ran his main settlement upon, but for the life of me I have no clue what so ever on how to do it.I have got rank 2 of Local Leader.

Can you guys suggest buildings etc of what I would need to build to make it so successful as I would love to have a excellent use for it. Also in the strategy guide it says that with some time and effort, I could turn this place into a thriving settlement so I'm guessing it is possible.

Thanks a lot guys.

I'm not sure how to build Sanctuary Hills off of the Red Rocket Truck Stop, but I just led all the settlers back to Sanctuary and am in the process of building stuff back up. Red Rocket seems like a waste of time if Sanctuary is going to be your main base and is just down the road...

I'm treating Red Rocket as my own personal home. It'll be my primary base where I store most of my gear, do most of my work, etc. The other settlements I'll just build up as just that; other settlements.

It's not the best place to build because of the terminal that can't be moved, scraqed or stored. In short, it's in the way. Still, it's where I dump all my companions. Small enough place and it works. I just don't build there. Damn terminal took my bed spot...

That's what I've done. Red Rocket is my personal fortress of solitude ala superman. 1 bed, huge generators to power the many, many defenses - zero food, water, or extra beds to avoid filthy squatters coming to sleep / live where I dont want.

Its kind of an odd place for a second settlment, but I use it as a PA Storage and production base and have some crops there as well

Why?

Cooking -> Vegetable Starch-> Adhesives

(Which explains some of my Aunt Stells cooking.)

Yeah, the place is terrible to build in. I just finished making my house at Red Rocket, and it was a pain. Very limited space. Like others have been saying, I'm also using the stop as my own personal home for the time being.

Hey all

Thanks for the replies. I really appreciate it. I think I will do the same of what you guys said and make it my own fortified keep. Sounds interesting. :goodjob:

Hmm actually looking forward to building this up as my own production output facilities.

I was actually using my old house as my own personal house but it seems that Nick likes to come in and make it his own...

That's all.
