How do you guys feel about gaining the dragonshout ability from killing a dragon that gives you the ability to slow down time?

I'd prefer to have a Thu'um-like ability, to knock down enemies with a battlecry. Hope that's in, too.

Well considering you have to kill a dragon in order to acquire it, should be pretty sweet.

It's not like you're just gonna be able to bend time right from the get go at level 1, guys.

I doubt it. God, I hope not... it's great in FO, but doesn't belong in TES.

This "dragonshout" sounds suspiciously like Thu'um.

If they are the Jills, it only makes sense.

Not if that dragon is level scaled to you and you kill it with 10 punches with your bare knuckles.

I just hope its optional.

I do not want such an ability even if it is part of the story.

and I hope 'perks' are optional and I have a choice not to take them.

You don't have to use every ability so it is optional and why would you choose to not have perks?

Well, since dragons and time are somewhat related (being Akatosh the God of Time), I guess it makes sort of sense, lore-wise speaking...

Still, I'd really like to see a Thu'um ability for Nords.

Yes it is, one battlecry sends enemies around you flying backwards onto the floor.

They mention blasting enemies back, slowing time, and a short-range teleport

This "dragonshout" sounds suspiciously like Thu'um.

I'd bet money they're one-and-the-same.

At first I was very sceptical, but if you get it from killing dragons, then it sounds like they're pretty rare, which is good.

I'm sure they will be "optional" but just as fast travel the game will assume you will use them, so if you choose not to, you will be at a great disadvantage and lose a great amount of game content.
