I Think they're flesh-sack eggs. I've run across these a few times as well, and i've made up that name for it. But your right, they're not mirelurk eggs. They're not ant eggs either. They're just an odd form of a cluster of eggs.

You cannot physically earn one million caps in the game, you have to either use the console to cheat on the PC or you can cheat by making a mod to give you money.

Does anyone actually read other peoples' posts here? :facepalm: Its a fungus. It looks like a fungus and it 'is' a fungus per the devs. And you can't harevst them (or eat them) unless someone creates a mod to allow you to do so. Case closed.

As far as money goes... repair every weapon/armor you pick up, sell everything you don't use, and never buy anything. Money will grow rather rapidly as there isn't much you absolutely need to buy to play.

Well, Mothership Zeta almost always gives me about 90,000 caps worth of loot. Maybe 100k if I scrounge *everything*. So it's not a million, but it makes a nice start. Plus a lot of the MZ loot is either weightless or has a 100:1 cap:wg ratio (the atomizer pistols).

(Personally, once I get past 20k caps, I stop caring.)

I pretty much made it to around 650k after doing MZ. Just finished off the rest through the console.. All those gems are worth so much and there's SO much stuff to scrounge off of the ship.

I think the groups of egglike objects are actually mirelurk eggs. If you go in the mirelurk infested areas they are all over the place.

No, they aren't. They're fungus and it even says in the GECK.
