I've been considering getting Netflix. I know they have a few shows they produce themselves that have caught my attention, Daredevil being the main one. I've longed for a good Daredevil presentation since Affleck's absurdity called a movie. Daredevil is one of my favorite comic book heroes
Anyway, I go to their https://www.netflix.com/ for info. The "So much to watch" clickie does nothing, so I have no clue what shows they have. The "Pick your price" clickie at least compares the 3 sub tiers they have. I'm sure their middle tier ($9.99/month) suits me well.
1) However, I have heard that some people have troubles with their cable companies concerning bandwidth. I have "unlimited" bandwidth through CableOne. But I have heard that some companies "may" put some brakes on speed with Netfilx type services. Has anyone run into this? Is it very common, or more of a "myth" that does not really happen, or very rarely?
2) Also... Commercials. How heavy are they on Netflix? I have this harwired aversion to to paying for television service AND watching ads, thus my refusal to get TV through cable or satellite. HBO, Cinemax, Showtime and the like have commercials, but they are about shows on their own networks, which I do not mind. It is the gamut of "Buy this product" commercials that get under my skin if I am paying for service.
What are folks' experience with Netflix?
