Taking Piper to the Glowing Sea?

Post » Thu Dec 03, 2015 3:15 pm

Piper is my companion at the moment. I have good power armor and 3 hasmat suits so I'm inclined to strap one on to Piper and get into my Power Armor (lots of cores) and head for the glowing sea. Is this reasonable? Is there a problem taking a hazmat suited Piper along? Thanks.

No problem taking any of your companions along.

I assume they took a lot of Rad-X.

:)

That's LOYALTY man.

She'll be fine, companions don't get affected by rads like we do. She'll just complain about it and keep reminding you that you're getting irradiated.

Great, thanks. Guess it's time to strap on the power armor and the hasmat suits and see what a direct hit by a major nuclear strke looks like. Sounds like a good post Thanksgiving trip.

Heh...I got there, because the quest marker was like, on the fringe? Then it kept moving, and I forgot to bring the Hazmat suit.

Thankfully I had like...25 Radaway, and didn't meet much in the way of hostiles until I got to the crater and Virgil.

Everything went great. I wish I would have seen more of the area though, the radiation storms meant visibility was nill the whole way. It was nice to have the denizens step up to say hello though. The Radscorpions were particularly friendly.

Can't say I loved the power armor experience. Clump clump clump clump .....

I'll probably bring the power armor to retaking the Castle though. Given what I saw on YouTube.

Yeah, felt a little weird too to have full T-60 and Piper in just her road leathers :lmao:

Then again, it's only a constant 2 rads/s apart from some hotspots, easily manageable.
