Hi Guys,

Was just wondering if there was a list or way of telling which pieces of clothing work with armour ("armor" for the guys across the pond)

I tend to find some cool clothing with minimal damage resistance and then go to attach my legendary armour to it, only for it to strip my character naked, only wearing that piece of armour. It works with the minutemen suit but i'm getting bored of that look.

Pay attention to the Vault Boy icon. If everything flashes, it can't be worn with armor. If nothing flashes, it can be worn with armor. Unfortunately, the list of items that can be worn with armor is rather small.

Same boat here.... currently wearing Road Leathers with armer pieces, but the Drifter outfit is just so cool...mhhh

You can see it on the armor figure, some clothes blocks out some armor only, many dresses let you keep arm armor, the barbarian costume only disable chest.

An mod on nexus let you combine all, this will case clipping on many pieces but its up to you to use or not.

Adjusted meshes on outfits will probably reduce this. Another mod option is to hide armor for other outfits.

Ah! I see! Unfortunately I'm a console player! Supposedly the ONE is getting mods but can't use them at the moment!

I would advise getting the ballistic weave mod (from a certain faction questline) as it allows you to armor outfits like the Drifer etc.

I`m running around with Macreadys Duster on and Ballistic Weave level 3 + Damage resist perks. My Power Armor just sits getting dusty.

What quest line is it, so I can go after it sooner rather than later?

Don't want to spoil anything, so all I will say is to do the quest "Follow the Freedom Trail", then look for PAM and do stuff for her until you get the quest "Jackpot". Complete it, then talk to Tinker Tom.
