I see lots of Fallout 4 forum posts and articles referencing "red dot sights" but I do not see anything like that in the game. Is there actually a sight in the game called "red dot sight" or are they referring to something else like the glow sights or reflex sights (which in my game are green...)?

I think red dot sights is just a universal term people are using instead of glow sights or reflex sights.

Maybe they're talking about the red dots that appear on our compass to point out where enemies are in combat.

In FO4 it would refer to the reflex sight.

Theres 2, though; circle AND dot.
Is it just referring to dot (assuming if this is the case, dot is more useful for aiming compared to circle) or if its just a generic term for the "..reflex sight" mos

They mean the green dot sight but red is so widely used its just easier to call it that.

I wonder if mods or expansions will ever add Laser Sights to any guns. That would be really neat.
