Rebuilding mod list for new PC

Post » Tue Jun 15, 2010 10:01 pm

Yesterday I finally got my new system up and running, and I want to test it out by jumping into Morrowind with the best bells and whistles I can find. I lost my mod list on my other computer when I formatted the HD, so now seems like the best time to start again from scratch. Specifically, I'm looking for bug-fix packages, graphical enhancements (my PC should be able to handle most any made for MW now), sound packs, settlement-building mods and extensive quest/storyline additions to freshen it up a bit.

I'm already downloading MGE as I type, and plan on getting Better Bodies/ Heads, Morrowind Comes Alive, Morrowind Enhanced (and derivatives) and Rise of House Telvanni.

What else comes recommended, and what conflicts do I need to avoid?

Along with Rise of House Telvanni I would recommend http://lgnpc.org/ (Tel Uvirith) for more quests, and http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?id=5997&view=Mods.Detail for a better stronghold... And even more quests! An Archmagister's work is never done...

For bugfixes the http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19510 is absolutely essential. Along with that you shou.ld use the Morrowind Patch Project for the more 'normal' bug fixes. Strange, I can't find the link at the moment... It appears to be set hidden on Planet Elder Scrolls or something. Edit: http://www.elricm.com/nuke/html/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index&req=viewdownloaddetails&lid=4519. ;)

With regards to the tree and grass mods, didn't Vality have a wealth of them kicking about? I seem to remember them looking great but being a bit tricky to gather all together and damn near paralysing my old computer. Are they all in one place now, and how compatible are they with Vurt's mods?
