in my first run, i discovered somewhere a full X-01-set with lvl 31^^

now in my 2nd run i checked this place out with lvl 6 and i found a T-45 set.

i quit the game and reloaded my save from sanctuary before i startet the search and never came close to this location again.

my next try was with lvl 20 and i still found a T-45 set... no T-51 or T-60^^

...so i loaded a previous save from sanctuary and avoided the place again!

now with lvl 31 i still get only a T-45 set while i've gotten a X-01 in my first run (lvl31 too)

this is why i think that FO4 has some hidden or secret savefile where it saved my first attempt to get this power armor!

anyone else noticed such an odd behaviour somewhere?

It only spawns as the X-01 at a certain level. Not sure what that exact level is though.

If the area you're thinking of that gives you the full set of X-01 on the top of the building... then it's level specific. I went there at level 25 and found X-60 power armor (re-loaded my game to before I entered the building and didn't visit again until level 28). I came back at level 28 and found the X-01 in the same location.

Did you actually put it on or did you just look it through the glass?

There is a bug with court 35 that is migth visually look like low tier armor but really is x01, it fixes itself when you put it on.

if the power armors spwan level-dependent, why do i still get a T-45 and no X-01?

it looks like the game still "knows" that i've already tried to get this armor (and so spawns only a T-45) despite i've loaded an older save where i've never been to this location before^^

has really no one noticed a similar odd behaviour?? something you couldn't revert by loading an older save file?

It's a known bug where power armor will look lower tier than it is. You have to manually check it.

And I've literally reloaded a save not 5 minutes before and found just a chest of T-60 where half a set lied, so no, it's just you either had bad luck or didn't check the armor

It may be anecdotal, but I have accidentally tripped mines and reloaded a quick save only to not find the mine where it should have been...

If you enter an area that has an item spawn, that item will from then on only spawn at the level you found it. There's no going back and trying again. Lots of the power armor you find.. especially those found outside, are leveled items. Don't expect to always find the same item at the same place in every game.

Yeah, I've noticed a lot of weirdness with mines and reloading. It's kind of like it's save state is located in a cache instead of the save file. So if you set a bunch off, then reload, they won't be there until you run off to a different cell and go back, allowing them to reset and respawn. I've also had them spawn outside load zones after just traipsing through the area.. I go through an area, walk into a building, come out of the building and it's like someone set up a bunch of mines while I was inside.

I have seen funny bits with mines too.

I was in a location, ran over a mine (I had the perk) but my hireling bumbled into it. Didnt think anything of it (until I got hit by a surprise rocket launcher and wound up before the mine). was ready to disarm it for the next time, and it wasnt there. finished the quest, came back down, and it was back. was quite weird.

Oh, I get what you're saying.. I misunderstood. There's probably a bit of randomness and luck thrown in as well. I've found, at the very least, two frames that had no armor on them at all. It probably also has a little to do with the game heat map and leveled areas. Soo.. it's all just luck of the draw.. There's no hidden save file. At the moment I have all the power armors except the t-60.. of which I only have 2 pieces of.

The place I found x-01 armor was at the National Guard Training Yard. There was a full suit of it in a computer locked pen outside the facility and half a suit inside. When I got the inside suit and went back outside it released a very mean robot who nearly killed me on the spot.

I believe that seeing as the Power Armor Frame is considered a container by the game, it is still under control of RNGesus. Pray to almighty RNGesus, accept him into your life and you shall receive greatness....

Its like the set legendary spawn points, you kill it it has something crappy, you reload it kill it again, it may have something good. RNG..
