So how were ammo storage crates left out of base items

Post » Sat Dec 05, 2015 10:11 am

What a huge oversight that they didn't include these or wall mounted first aid kits as base items. There are ocd people who like to sort out their ammo.

I know what you mean, except ammo is completely weightless so there is no useful reason to ever take it out of your inventory or need to sort it out. I cant think of one anyway. im not completely disagreeing with you though. ammo containers are cool.

You'd think we would have been able to hang our weapons on those peg board tool racks like in the promo art. I only keep legendary weapons in my floor safe.

There are lots of containers available, footlockers, boxes, trunks etc.

I also find the amount of vanilla settlement items absolutely, and bewilderingly, pathetic.

Thank God for mods.

Yes, but why not have the ammo boxes and chem boxes as well?

Yeah, it would be nice to keep my extra explosives in an ammo box instead of a chem cooler. Also, it'd be nice from a decoration standpoint (as would the first aid boxes. And probably some other things.)

I'm sure we'll see more objects in DLC. And it's an obvious target for mods on all platforms.

I've been looking for a trash can. I wanted somewhere to put all the MISC stuff I don't need anymore just to clean up that inventory menu, but ended up just dumping it in a trunk.

There is one under the decorations cathegory. Looks like a brown nuke with a silver lid on the top.

Look for the Picket Fences magazines as well, they add more pieces that you can build at settlements. Not containers though, so I don't want to get too much off topic.

I didn't realize that would actually be usable. I'll get that. Thanks.

I'm not sure if it "empties" and deletes your trash though.:)

I too would like ammo boxes and wall mounted med kits. It's a shame. I have a tendency to store ammo I never use. You know, just in case.

It's more about aesthetics. Besides when they revealed the game, you saw ammo crates beside the power armor on the floor.
