how do you get well rested perk : Fallout 4

I know you get it in ur settlements but when I see a bed in a mission it never gives me the perk only when I use a bed at the sanctuary but then when I travle to the fight its done worn off by then and I never get this bonus in missions

you have to own it or rent it

Sleep for 5 hours or more in any bed in settlement you can use the workbench at, or in a hotel that you rent a night at.

You get it from any settlement you have allied with...if you really want well rested bonus, sleep in a settlement closer to where you are about to fight..
Well rested is insignificant IMO..
