Devs,
There are a lot of fire-related assets in the game that would be great for personalizing spaces in the settlement system, from candles and lanterns to campfires and barrels of coals.
Not having open access to humanities most basic tool of civilization in this game is...puzzling. How about it? Where can I find my copy of Picket fences: Pyro Edition?
And speaking of assets, please give some thought to really opening up our access to the thematic assets of groups like the raiders, super mutants, and pre-war military. If I want my settlers to live in a prewar barracks stuffed full of meat bags and corpse-hooks...well. What's wrong with that? (Hygiene can't be that big a deal, I give these people free water and they still won't clean their fingernails.) Any object a dev can place should be usable in a settlement. Maybe some of it needs to be locked behind a perk-wall like the equipment mods.
You've got a great opportunity here to hit us console-dwellers with microtransactions or full DLC for settlement theme packs without any new modeling work on your part. The settlement system turns this game into a toy, and that's got a chance to pull in a lot of money in the long run if you put the right person in charge of making it the best and most flexible toy it can be, mechanically speaking. It looks like you weren't sure if people would care about it, and that's reflected in how clunky and unfinished it feels. Polish this thing up...people like it, and they have money to give you if you take them seriously.
