Where are some interesting, less-obvious sidequests?

Post » Sun Dec 06, 2015 12:38 am

Right now my quest log is almost entirely full of; kill these raiders, protect this farm, find this tech, and Continue with the Main Story

i feel like i'm lacking in non-generic stuff to do. I'd like some suggestions on where i can find interesting quests, generally less obvious places that i'm not likely to have seen/been yet. im approaching lv50 and i think i've done just about everything in diamond city and goodneighbor

You're in the wrong place homie, you should be in the Spoiler forum if you want that info.

well, i'd kind of appreciate some non-spoiler advice. maybe just names of places to go, or people to talk to, and let me do my own digging from there

Not sure which ones you've played but I'll give it a shot.

- Last Voyage of the USS Constitution : Needs no introduction. If you haven't done it, do it. Found east of Bunker Hill.

- Out of the Fire : Seems like just another raider killing quest at first. Nope. You fight pyromaniacs with flamethrowers and Molotovs inside a working steel mill. Has an actual choice at the end with a meaningful speech check and a decent boss fight. Also, a great reward. Found in the northwest at Finch Farm.

- Vault 81 Questline: Fun story with a surprisingly big choice at the end. Found west of Diamond City.

- Human Error : Starts in Covenant. No spoilers.

- Cabot House Questline: Haven't done it yet, but it's apparantly quite good. Found northeast of Goodneighbor.

- Companion Quests: Cait, Curie, MacCready, and Valentine all have personal quests. They will fire once you reach high affinity with them. They will attempt to talk to you and offer you the quest. They range from decent to really great.

Here There be Monsters: speak to Donny Kowalski on the docks behind the Shamrock Taphouse. He sends you to investigate a "sea monster" he's spotted in the habor.

Go start swimming toward the Airport tower from the Castle, about halway through you'll find a submarine periscope sticking up from the ground to look at you.

Go talk to the guy inside.

"Oh my God... what have you done to them!?!?!?"
"Yes... that's it... hold that expression... perfect."

Gave me the chills.

I didn't like him, but on the other hand didn't feel any pity for those Raiders. They had it coming.

I didn't have any pity for the raiders... but I still filled him with holes. He didn't strike me as the type who would let a non-raider go if they had the misfortune of wandering in.

Go to the town of Covenant as well.

That's a creepy little quest.

Yep I agree with that, even the main quest line leaves a lot to be desired. I just find it hard getting into the entire environment. To bad I couldn't drag that nuke from Megaton city and set it off in the middle of Boston :)
