I love my companions, but....

There are a few tweaks I'd sure love to see.

1) The ability to turn off companion "filler" dialogue. I already know Piper is proud people want her dead. I already know Strong is bored. And if Deacon hassles me about looting ammo from dead gunners one more time I'm going to shoot him in the face.

2) Make companions get the [censored] out of your way. Stop blocking the doorway. Move to one side on the stairs.

3) If you see me sneaking how about you not run full speed ahead and set off every landmine in a hundred yard radius.

What are your traveling buddies doing to piss you off?

For some reason Strong loves to stand at the chemical craft station and then he will just spew endless filler dialogue over and over.

I know!!! I had to move the chem station to the opposite side of Sanctuary so I didn't have to listen to his blather while I was trying to make weapons.

I sent Strong away. Had to take him and then dismiss him to do it. It was funny at first but its the same ones over and over. They should not be in doorways and you should be able to push them easily if they're in your way. I'm not sure if they set off landmines, maybe it depends what perks you yourself have.

Indeed. I love when companion makes comments about things happening around you/quest related. But hearing the same sentence over and over again can get really annoying. Atleast tone down the chance of them saying it. With this playthrough I've hoarded alot of scrap items. I think you know how annoying that can get after a while.

My biggest complaint about the followers: The way they steal xp from you.

It makes so little sense to me. The payoff for taking the time, money and perks to equip your companions with better gear and make them actually useful is...less xp? It's like they're discouraging using the companions for anything other than being a packmule. With such an effort to make them such good and likable characters (mostly, anyway), this just goes against involving yourself with them in any meaningful way.

Not to mention it wasn't an issue in New Vegas, but they decided to change that back to Fallout 3 rules for whatever reason.

Please for the love of all that is holy, make them stop jumping into my line of fire!!! Especially when I'm using a scoped weapon and have a narrower field of view. Ugh.
