Fallout 4 dlc or fallout 5 set in Texas!

Post » Sun Dec 06, 2015 3:18 am

we will have to wait for all of the DLC to finish to find out where the next one is at usually they mention it somewhere in the game.. Oblivion talked about Skyrim the next eldar scrolls was in Skyrim.. Fallout 3 did a commonwelth mission and the next one was Boston. has anyone seen any missions that mention another place. other the the Captial Wasteland of Fallout 3. and i think the Next Eldar Scrolls will be Redguard lands of Hammerfell because of the one small mission that had you do some work for them.

Would need to be it's own game really, would love to see the USS Texas as a loaction (last surviving WW1 Dreadnought class Battleship) and of course the Alamo.

I get the feeling they wont go near it any time soon due to it being more Obsidians ground with NV and the West coast. There's also issues with it being on the boarder so they'd have to come up with more lore for outside nations and possibly break the current set up of being a US based game (expansion in to Mexico)

Didn't we already do the southwest with NV? The last thing I want is yet more of that.

Try Chicago, or Toronto or Europe or even China or Australia. What about Miami? I like Miami.

Of course, if we did do Texas, at least the could drop the "I" out of SPECIAL. It is Texas, after all.

I think San Francisco would be nice. They could get really creative with that city.

If not, Chicago or New York. We never really experienced big city exploration in any fallouts (I don't consider Boston to be a BIG city).

That would completely change the tone of the game. The 50s cheerful positive nuclear family era that Fallout does so well, didn't exist in 1950s Europe. It was a depressing time, a time of rebuilding after WWII, nobody had money, plenty of people were still living of food stamps and the economy was in a rut. Al of which contributed to American Pop-Culture becoming popular in Europe, peoplewanted something to look forward to.

Todd Howard has said that a Fallout game outside of the USA wouldn't really work, and I think he's right.

Personally I'd prefer either Florida or somewhere north near the Canadian border, Wisconsin or Michigan maybe

FO5 should be in Detroit. They would barely need to change it.

EDIT: LMAO, Tyler & I posted the exact same thought at nearly the same time! How cool is that?

*offers TylerJ21 a fist-bump*

I'm feeling Atlanta for next Fallout game location.

Big public transportation network.

HUGE airport.

Diverse historic area.

Nearby military installations IRL.

And major corporations, including military contractors.

Confederate gear and redneck tropes applicable to outlying areas were already developed in Point Lookout.

Major nuclear power plant not far away (Savannah River).

Seige of Atlanta & Sherman's march. Historic Savannah not far away. Smoky Mountains. Sports teams. Colleges (GA Tech, for example). Major freeways. Etc.

Atlanta would be GREAT. Could build a local faction on Sons of the Confederacy or whatever. Another on the Railroad theme. It's right up there with DFW and Chicago and Detroit and St. Louis, IMO.
