I am level 50 now.

I explored most of the upper half of the map, some spots further south and a few parts of the diamond city area.

I haven't progressed far into the main story (just took castle) and also have a lot of side missions left.

Only i can't ...

I spent the last 5 hours of ingame time running from one settlement-crying-for-help mission to the next.

Only most of these settlements i already cleared. Hell, half the time i'm getting sanctuary/abernathy missions.

It seem regardless of how much i do every single time i return to preston he hands me another mission.

And thats not even counting in random attacks on settlements.

So as of right now i can't progress unless i "give up" on my settlements ....

This can't be intentional!?

Let the missions fail. That's what I do

Once you complete your objective missions will auto resolve themselves if you don't turn them in. By that you do the kill randoms and report back to settlers but do not return to Preston. And eventually the quest will complete. It takes a while.

Well what makes me think this is a bug is that i get the settlement-will-join speech every time.

Even though they are already mine. (And with ample defense)
