Its not Bethsada that needs to improve, its the other companies that need to catch up. There is plenty to do in Fallout 4, too much for some people, and perhaps they get confused with the need for quests to tell them what they should be doing with their time.
The amount of things to go do, will get exponentially increased when the players get their hands on the official Mod Tools, "Construction Kit" (or Geck tools). I don't spend a lot of time playing other games cause well with the tools you really can make your own content and make the game your own...Where'as everything else is well static and only ever functions how it was released, that really isn't the case with Bethsada games. You can literally just change how the game plays, feels, looks, or even what kind of game it is just by picking out mods that people released. Change the weather, time of year, heck climate, monster types, or even just transform the whole game into another genre or maturity rating heck whatever is out there and whatever you want to install.
Other games just are not that flexible.
Some gamers out there make quest content, some put more role play in, and sure some put advlt stuff in but there is just soo much selection out there that with a game like Skyrim the amount of choice just never ever ends, and even now there are really cool UGC for Skyrim coming out.
I'm sure a lot of people are pretty stoked about the updated engine, 64 bit, so much good stuff about this new platform for mod creation.
When the mods made with Creation Kit Tools come out its like each week your Birthday is coming up and there are people out there with gifts for you that make this game feel like a new release every week. How often are you really actually excited about a game release? Think about it, when the mods roll in some of these make so many changes its like a brand new game just landed in your lap.
You wont be as hyped for other games when this starts happening.
