Is there any good source of renewing nuclear material? I've been looting or buying up any junk parts that have it I can find from vendors and getting the shipment from vault 81 but it never seems to be enough. I try to put a bunch of heavy laser turrets and large generators in each of my main settlements to keep them safe and I run through the nuclear material like candy.

I know super mutant suiciders will have them if their nuke explodes and I remember a while back being in a car park and across the street were a ton of super mutants with like 3 or 4 suiciders but I can't remember where it was. Really wish I could remember it, was the car park with a bunch of traps and two cages at the end that made you pick one room as a prize while the other room got torched.

If you can get your hands on a plasma weapon, you can loot it from gooified enemies.

For me, and this works for many modding materials, I just set up a generic trader in every town I have. When I'm low on something, I fast travel between them buying up whatever junk they have that has parts I need (screws, oil, nuclear material, aluminum...whatever.) Also stop by the other established settlements with junk dealers (Bunker Hill, Goodneighbor, etc.)

Usually gets me through modding or building whatever i need to mod or build that time around. I go questing, eventually I need to mod or build something else, and by then, all of their stocks have refreshed.

I have a full auto plasma rifle, it just eats through ammo so fast I haven't been using it. Maybe I'll re-mod it for single shots.

gooify creatures using plasma weapons (either plasma guns or plasma-enhanced shotguns etc) and you'll have more nuclear material than you'll ever use

Shoot super mutants arms while they have a nuke, 2 nuclear material every time.

Plazma rifle FTW:) all goified enemies will give nuclear material plus their normal loot.
