I got the jet pack and installed it . How do I use it? The instructions came up while I was distracted and I missed them. Any help appreciated.

I think you have to hold the jump button or press it twice and a hold.

Or just do it in small spurts to increase air time. and kiss your fusion cores goodbye. Even with maxed out cores that thing destroys them.

Tap your jump button to be able to reach incredible heights, or just hold the jump button and let it burn naturally to allow you to perform devastating defensive deep strikes.

I thought it took AP not cores.

Takes both. My low ap guy can get to a roof of a one story building, but going further then that would be highly problematical.

trash cans work better for that just go backwards near a wall and jump on while holding it and you go to space.

Could you elaborate on this "trashcan" technique? I'm very interested in learning more.

Anything that takes AP drains your core faster.

VATS, jet pack, sprinting. Even holding your breath while looking down a scope.

their is a YouTube vidio explaining it in depth, type in "legendary leg armor mass fusion building" I got the idea from watching someone float up a wall into a room 60 stories above him.

And you get legs that take away all fall damage to go with your newfound trash can powers

Thanks, very cool trick. Took me about 30 tries but then I got the hang of it. Odd they put items in the game (with no standard/normal access) with a back story even. Pretty cool though. BTW the trick seems to be to aim more at the right side of the corner, and to ease the thrusters just before the "ledge", otherwise you'll fall past it.
