custom map marker innacurate

Whenever I set a custom map marker, 90% of the time they show up in the opposite direction in the compass. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Is this a mod? and do you mean that you start the level facing South when you should be facing North? (for example)

Sounds like the marker (in the GECK) in the mod was set facing backwards (If I understand you, and it correctly).

Same with me. I think a mod is screwing it up. Do you have the more map markers mod?

This happens to me too, and I'm using More Map Markers.

It's... Something weird that goes on, I think related to the Metro tunnels/DC area. Check your world map, and see if there's trails zig-zagging all over the map from you to the marker

This happens to me constantly on the 360. I set a marker, I follow it, but the direction on my compass is wrong.... then I double-check it... and it's still wrong. It does it for (in-game) a couple of weeks at a time, then mysteriously pops back to normal. So these days, I blow it off, and head in the general direction based on my compass, not the marker. About a year ago or so, Gstaff said there was a problem, and they knew about it....

Nah navigating the Metro area was fine, the zig zag dot trail help there by showing you which part connects to where.

However, it's when the dot trail DON'T show up, it means the custom marker is gonna show up somewhere wrong on your compass.

It might be something like what is happening to me: When I set a marker, a dotted line goes from my position to the marker. But sometimes it doesn't, and when this happens, it tells me to go in a totally different direction on the compass, but when I check the Pip-Boy it's just fine, except for the dotted line.

Yea the map marker is very inaccurate. Especially with the underground subways. It gives you the wrong directions & it sometimes points the way out of the the subway then tells you to go back. You gotta use your own head.
