I choose V.A.N.S...i hit q key open vats but it seems so damn confusing...there gotta be any easier way?

My 2nd question is what the best way to command your dog...hitting all those commands iwould probarly get him killed...is there a way to have him defend himself?

You have to use VATS for VANS to work.

And your dog is immortal. He can't die. So don't worry about that.

He defends himself by default while he is following you.

no i mean i thought you open VATS by holding down the q ke...am i doing this wrong?
