Best place to farm legendary combat armor?

Post » Sun Dec 06, 2015 8:56 pm

I'm trying to get my hands on a legendary combat armor chest piece, but I can't seem to find one. Currebtly level 27. Been farming National Guard Training Yard and Hubris Comics so far.

Which enemies drop them most often, and where would be the best place to farm them as legendaries.

I would assume fighting higher level mobs and being of a higher level is the best option if ya gonna find it as loot, but honestly the easiest way to get one is to buy one.

Does anyone sell a combat chest piece with the sentinel effect?

15% resist while standing still. And nope it's random.

I would say gunners plaza however getting combat armour to drop is completely random. You'd have the same chance from ferals or super mutants.

I have killed 500+ legendary enemies and I had had 1 drop of legendary heavy combat armour, and it's a chest piece. Also had some heavy leather. Some parts seem very rare.

There is a way if you're patient and haven't cleared out the Boston State Library yet.

Save before you go in. Inside is a set encounter, which includes a Legendary baddie. Deal with the situation and loot - if you don't like the drop, reload your save outside. If you get the right piece but the wrong affix, reload the autosave from when you entered. Patience is required.

Got me a Staggering Combat Rifle that way.

Just for the sake of clarity, are you talking about Boston Public Library, or is there actually a place called Boston State Library?

Well, in any case, I finally got one to appear, and I'm re-rolling its effects now. It really doesn't want to give up the sentinel effect though.

You can get a quest from the Ghoul working in the General Store at Goodneighbour that takes you there.

Spoiler
Use the intercom by the door to get in if you can't lockpick - I didnt see it for ages and had the quest open for about 100+ hrs before I figured out the intercom gets you in

My main concern was whether he actually meant the Boston State Library, or misremembered the name of th Boston Public Library. Unfortunately, I typed the Public library twice. I've corrected it.

re rolling for a certain gear with a certain ability will take you forever, you could go kill 20 of them and be making money and exp. Good places are the something something junkyard east of saugaus factory, Boer's pit mine east of that junkyard, and the glowing sea. Top right or bottom left of the map, bottom right is ok too.
