I've been playing this game for some time now and up until an hour or so ago it's been my favourite PS4 game ever. However, I'm stuck in the institute and I don't believe I can get out. Unfortunately my last "hard" save was about 15 hrs of game time ago (my fault I know). If this turns out to be unrecoverable then the game is going on eBay and I've bought my last game by this publisher.

What happened was as follows:

- Got to the institute, spoke to Shaun and father, accepted his kind offer to join

- Loaded holotape and contacted patriot

- Met patriot and the synth and was told to go back to the railroad

- Spoke to Dr Li. At this point something happened and I was told to "exit the institute"

- Went back and spoke to Father and it was almost like I'd rejected his offer. Told him I'd changed my mind and he went through the speel about meeting people and the quest marker for leave the institute was replaced, but nothing came in it's place.

- Spoke to Dr Li again and she mentioned something about updating my pip boy so I could fast travel so I thought great!

Now it doesn't matter where I am I can't fast travel out of the institute and nor can I leave by going up in the lift. I'm stuck basically and to say I'm annoyed is an understatement!

Anyone come across this? Any hints?
