I have found what appears to be an engine bug with certain types of food items. It happens with Boar Meat and Gourds maybe others, but those are the only two I have found so far. The problem is when you give them durational effects, Like for instance a fortify affect that lasts 60 seconds, the value in game gets all wonky in game, somehow the duration of the magic effect associated with the item is vastly increasing the value. The longer the duration, the wonkier the value gets, to the point where a 3600 second duration produces a value of many thousand septims. but the effect is noticeable even with shorter durations, anything above zero seems to affect the value.
Obviously, you don't want your gourds and boar meat costing more than a daedric weapon, so if I can't find a solution, I won't be able to include these foods in my http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/71708/? mod.
I can't find any solution to this problem, so I was wondering if anyone else has encountered it. Is there any solution, or is it an unsolvable engine bug?
