crafting furniture..placement woes

Post » Tue Dec 08, 2015 12:27 am

So I bought the Homeplate house in Diamond City and I'm having a hard time with placing chairs and couches. Most are turned "the wrong way".....backwards. How do you flip them around to properly place a couch with the back against the wall for example?

On PC, when you have an item selected, mouse buttons will rotate it. Not sure on the consoles.

I'm playing on Xbox one. What I do is get the object as close as I can to where I want it, then let go of the object and reposition myself, grab the object again and just try and get it into position. It's a game of positioning, letting go, repositioning myself, and turn position the item and repeat till it is in place.

On XBox One, using LT and RT turn the item.

Little tip: if you hold the A+RB or A+LB, you can move the item horizontally or vertically, respectively, without having to move. I place most of my stuff this way now. Very handy.
