How wild have you gotten with cheating?

Post » Mon Dec 07, 2015 6:14 pm

Ok, so I've gone through 2 complete play throughs' so far and have started a third. This third one I am cheating like hell. Started the game with X01 power armor and a nice weapon. But primarily I am working to make my settlements into huge cities.

So far only my original settlement where I originally lived is done. With a 3 story wall surrounding my little city with turret defenses on the sides and heavy machine guns on the two entrances until I can get heavy laser turrets. (Entrances are across the main bridge and the lesser path with the bridge that crosses the stream.

I have completely gutted and remodeled about half the homes (wish there was nicer looking beds and furniture) and everything has power from the 2 story building I have build that just houses the generators for my new little city.

I haven't really used any mods, just the stuff is with resources given to me by the console command.

I understand not everybody is going to enjoy doing this. But I cant be the only one who hasn't gone completely nuts in building. So feel free to post pics or just describe what you've done in game. Kinda looking forward to hearing it.

Not much at all. I used tlc often to fix myself from bugs and skip some annoying walking I already did several times, tgm to not bother with resources at Hagman's Alley and a console command to make an Institute quest available (as I think it should have been there even after made "that" choice -_- ).

I only cheat to make a game more fun.

For example. I added a gazillion bad guys. Cheating? Maybe. But am I having fun and does it make things easier? :P

Well, I think this play through for me is more about how huge and elaborate I can make my settlements then anything else. Also, I apologies for the double post and the screwed up OP. There was some weird hiccup on the computer, I reported the other thread so that the mods can delete it.

I haven't gotten around to cheating too much, except one time I removed a perk because I found it super annoying. When the game starts to get repetitive I will no doubt start to throw in mods and cheat to freshen it up a bit.

I only use it for materials. Especially on subsequent playthroughs. I'm not a fan of scrapping hundreds of pens and duct tape just to build a water purifier or something.

Build salvage stations, that is what I did, and I never pick up junk items anymore, a couple of these in each settlement and you get a huge influx of junk every day or so.

I built a lot of those and I still have to salvage for items. I barely even noticed them making a difference.

I don't cheat.....I adjust the game to my taste B)

I don't cheat in my first playthrough but in subsequent playthroughs I will probably use lots of mods.
