Problem with finishing BoS quests before joining Institute

Post » Tue Dec 08, 2015 1:25 am

Hey everyone, just joined this forum!

I have the following problem: I want to do all BoS quests before I go to "Mass Fusion", after which I obviously no longer can do these. (I already reached the Mass Fusion quest for the Institue). Now, there is the option to tell the BoS about that, which I obviously don't want to. However, after finding the nukes in that pyramid , I have to report back to Ingram - where I always tell her about the Mass Fusion which starts the decisive BoS quests to go there and fight the Institue. That isn't quite a problem because I still can chose the Institue and don't have to do the quest - but i still can't report back to Ingram about that nuke quests, she keeps telling me thinks "Go to Mass Fusion already" and "I hope you are good equipped", which makes finishing the nuke-quest impossible. I obviously can't to the quests Ingram wants me to do because I don't want to be in the BoS in the end.

So, is there a way I can somehow finish the nuke-quest and go on with the normal BoS quests? With a cheat maybe?

I hope you can help me, it would svck not to be able to do all the remaining quests for the brotherhood.

Yeah I know, I have both decisive quests running, but as long as I don't actually do the Mass Fusion quest I am still bro with both sides - which I want to use to do all the remaining quests. But I can't talk to Ingram to do them because she keeps telling me about Mass Fusion. Is there really no script or cheat that starts the other BoS quests or finishes the active?

Do them before starting Mass Fusion, messing around with console commands is probably a bad idea. If you just want achievements... well save your game and do one BoS and One Institute.

Do not begin mass fusion

Do not turn in Blind Betrayal*

Do finish the quest Underground Undercover. (accepting is fine)

*Procter Ingram tends to hand out around Captain Kells and won't let you talk to her until you've spoken to him which triggers the wipe out the rail road quest line.

There are certain points where the door to remain allied with a faction closes. You've reached that point.

Why can't you do all the RR quests first, wipe them out with the Brotherhood then do their quests and join the Institute? Do they lock you in? I remember it just says you become enemies with the RR, not the Institute.

You don't seem to understand, I haven't quite started Mass Fusion yet, the quest just shows up already, I havent gone into that teleporter.. I am still allied with both sides. I just can't talk to Ingram about the nuke quest because she wants me to start the decisive quest.. well I messed up I guess. I checked my saves and found out that my last save before I talked to Father at the CIT ruins is about 8 hrs back and I am currently thinking if those quests are worth the damn time I would lose by that.

There's always next playthrough, or save your game do both sides and pick the one you want to keep.

But really after arming Liberty Prime and finishing off the railroad(which comes from Kells). The next BoS quest is spoils of war which is there version of Mass Fusion. So you haven't really missed anything.

Hm I read something about a quest about paladin Danse where you get his armor at the end as well as some others, is that really not that much? If its not more than one or two quest i would miss i would be fine...

Oh and by the way - will warning the Brotherhood have any affects on the outcome? Because that is what I did in my tries to get the quest handed in - the brotherhood now knows about Mass Fusion, but I still can start the quest in the Institute. Am I still able to continue with the Institute or did I screw up again? :) oh and btw, thanks for your help so far!
