How saves work?

The only people who seem to have corruption issues are console players, I have never ever had a corrupted save on PC. Even with 100'ish mods running. What I usually do is just for safety sake is set up batch file to zip my save folder and copy to a one of my other HD's.

One of the features I wished they bring back from morrowwind, being able to give your saves it's own title on consoles.

Bethesda did indicate that there was a slightly special save feature for consoles when it comes to mods:

So, we will at least have an un-modded version of your save, in case a mod "breaks your game".

I believe in addition to the various autosave triggers in Skyrim, one of those was "open the menu X number of times" so that if you were bumming around the same general location for hours without doing anything important it would still autosave occasionally. I can't remember if X was configurable, but I think it was because I changed it early on to be more frequent. I'm hoping that the save games will be automatically sorted by character, so that instead of a list of my 1000+ saves I can see my 15 characters (9 of whom I don't remember creating) and dig in from there. Extra points if they also have separate autosaves per character.

Good news: It's been confirmed that we can respec upon leaving the vault.

If that was directed at my post, I'm not talking about just corruptions. The tendency for BSG game scripting and mods to potentially cause problems effects everyone at some point. While that's not directly a Save Game issue, without frequent saves, it can massively screw you up.

No not at you brother grim..Just in general, I've never had a mod break a game either. The only time you might get a message is if you disable a mod and load a game you'll get A missing mod message. Maybe I'm lucky, but I've never had a bad break a game. Maybe I just know what I'm doing lol. I think some people aren't very careful with load order and all that kind of stuff which might cause problems

I just want there to be a quicksave button on consoles.
