That is my setup as well, i5-3570k/GTX 970/8GB RAM.
I upgraded from a G73jh that lasted for almost five years of quality gaming to a http://us.msi.com/product/nb/GT72-Dominator-Pro-GTX-980M.html#hero-specification&sku_no=325 the day after Christmas last year. I'm hoping to see it play most if not all of this console generation's ports ...especially Bethesda's ...and without having to upgrade the GPU.
i just bought a new system (also) for fallout
INTEL Core I7-6700K 4,0GHz LGA1151 8MB Cache Boxed
Asus 90MB0MD0-M0EAY0 MB Intel 1151 Z170 Pro Gaming ATX Mainboard
Palit NE5X98TH15JBJ Super Jetstream GTX980TI NVIDIA Grafikkarte (PCI-e 6GB GDDR5 DVI, HDMI, Display Port)
Dell U2515H
and also ssd, ram etc etc - around 2100 Euro
No.
I can clock my 4930K up to a ridiculous 4.9 GHz (cooling not withstanding). The more important issue here is my "L3 Cache 12 MB" vs the 4790's "L3 Cache 8 MB".
