Can the weapon be holstered? I keep seeing vids of people going through town, talking to people, etc. and they always have their weapon out and pointing at the NPC's. Generally I put my weapon away when in a friendly zone. Partially to role-play, the other to make sure I don't accidentally shoot someone. Are these players in vids just lazy or do you really have to have some kind of weapon pointed out in 1st person all the time?

We've seen holstering, but it just puts the weapon away entirely. It is not shown on the body. I play 99% in first person so this isn't an issue for me but some seem pretty upset about it not being shown on the body

Not gonna lie, this is probably gonna bug me to an unreasonable degree.

I'm thinking.. yeah, they're just lazy. They've played too much Far Cry or something.

I'm generally in 1st person also so it's just the 1st person view I'm concerned about.

3rd person could bother me ... I mean it would be nice to be able to tell at a glance what I have equipped, but then I start wondering where my 20 other guns, suits of armor and etc. and etc. are if I can't see them. Seriously the only realistic view would be my PC pulling a large wagon behind him everywhere he goes.

I wouldn't worry. It'll be modded back in fairly quickly I'm sure

The video of the speedrun across corners of the map has weapons holstered for speed and such I guess. I've only ever switched to 3rd person to see myself shooting a weapon for "oh look at that" purposes. So I don't have anything to worry about with not seeing weapons holstered.
