What does [PP] and [EP] mean?

When in the console command line on pc some NPCs have [PP] or [EP] at the end of their references IDs. What do these mean? Would this have something to do with why some NPCs can not be dismembered? (Such as settlers)

Check and see if EP means essential.

I miss the Fallout NV system of showing the name...

I always use "inv" to check if I have the right target. Cycle through targets with the mouse wheel.

Thanks for the reply. Usually when I try to kill NPCs that have the PP tag they seem to be essential. I seem to be able to kill NPCs with the EP tag but other NPCs can not kill them (they just go into a downed state) and I can not dismember them (which I REALLY want to do)
