Instant crash to desktop after patch

Post » Fri Dec 11, 2015 4:05 am

Saw a game update, got excited that maybe some of the bugs would get fixed, instead I get instant crashes to desktop after the menu loads.

This is disgusting. We wait a month for fixes to the crashing around the Bunker Hill, and instead the game is in even worse shape.

This is with no mods, no extra files, no modded DLLs and no script extenders.

So, i can't tell if it crashes or not because the patch.

Where abouts is the settings menu and/or version number? I don't see it in the launcher.

It's not in the launcher. After you start the game, go to settings. It's at the screen below.

I deleted my game, so i start downloading again.

The game crashes before I can click on Settings. I literally cannot do anything.

I'll probably have to delete and redownload mine too at this rate.

i am having a similar issue. i can reach the launcher, but as soon as i go to launch the game i get a black screen and then crash. i should note that i had the beta patch and was only getting 20 ish fps on the title screen so i reverted to the first patch and was fine. This new patch however has made the game unplayable for me. verified cache already too.

Just go to the main FO4 exe. Highlight it or right click and select properties. Details tab.

Uninstall drivers, use ccleaner to clear old temp files and registry, restart, install fresh drivers, restart, check device manager.
