Higher frequency of crashes after stable patch? Anyone?

Post » Thu Dec 10, 2015 8:52 pm

I played through probably 110 hours of the game without a single crash. Since nvidia enabled SLI a week ago with the new drivers and an SLI profile, I've crashed maybe twice in 40 or so hours played. (I attribute it to the game needing SLI specific patches.)

Since the patch yesterday, I've crashed 3 times in maybe only 5 hours played. I don't like those numbers. Has anyone else experienced a higher frequency of crashes after the patch?

I've been using the patch since it was released as a beta (both versions), and I haven't had any crashes with it. Before the patch, I hadn't had any CTDs either. I had one freeze (video freezes, audio continues) at about 30 hours in (I'm now at about 100 hours).

from my experience texture mods seems to have caused me few crashes and odd behavior (i.e. CDT, BSOD and gfx artifacts), but I can be sure. Also I have been using ModOrganizer 2 beta and I think it the virtual file system it use it's not fully reliable. The patch might have changed things somehow as it increased the game instability when not running in vanilla or as intended.

Hmm, might have something to do with nvidias new SLI support. If the crashing gets out of hand I'll try disabling SLI temporarily.
