For some reason I've already had trouble running your games, even on my old PC :/

Anyway, I got a new PC about a month ago and it's pretty top notch, maybe too much..

First time I tried launching the game from Steam my screen went all black and the blue circle cursor kept spinning for minutes. So I force quit the game, looked at the options and adjusted the resolution from 2048x1152 to 3840x2160 because my laptop screen is 4k. The same black screen and spinning cursor problem happened.

Then I updated my driver, used nvidias recommended game settings from their GeForce Experience client and tried the game again. Same issue occurred.

So, I went through EVERY troubleshooting option in your support center and after that I would click play and the game would instant crash and I would see the launcher menu again. I tried tweaking the settings again to no avail.

The only time the game worked was in windowed borderless mode at 800x450, but as you can imagine that's only about 1/30 of my screen size so the game only appeared in a tiny box at the top left of my screen.

PLEASE HELP! Lol I really wana play some fallout 4 I on that hype train!

The problem is that its most likely not switching to the discrete Nvidia graphics. Make sure you set fallout4.exe to 'High Performance' in the Nvidia Control Panel. Note: Even with the discrete card working correctly, you aren't going to get Fallout4 to run very well at 4K unless its fairly low settings. However, if you get fullscreen working the scaling shouldn't be bad. Probably can run 2k (1440p) fairly well.

Now getting the discrete to work, is currently hit-or-miss. I would strongly recommend getting MSI involved if setting High Performance in the Control Panel doesn't work.

I not the best technical person, but I know some stuff. I followed all the FAQ instructions from Bethesda which included setting fallout4.exe to "High Performance".

Why won't it run in 4k unless it's at low settings? I always that the better the resolution and processor the better the settings.

Also, usually when I try to play something at 2k on my screen, i only see 1/2 of the entire pic. How do I prevent that from happening?

If you want to play games, the most important hardware part to take into account is the graphics card. Your laptop has a 970m, which is fairly powerful, but not enough to play F4 at 4K and ultra settings.
