If you are running out of memory with 16GB, then you have a bunch of background processes eating memory. Fallout 4 simply doesn't use that much memory. The most I've seen it use is about 3.5GB. It averages below 2GB.

Also mods could factor, but I really cannot help you with that.

Post a dxdiag report.

you may want to scan for virus's and malware.. with that much memory, FO4 should not be svcking up enough for that error.. so while it may be you have some legitimate processes running in the background taking up resources, there may be an infection thats taking up quite a few as well.

Please post a dxdiag: https://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-gather-dxdiag-information/

Use spoiler tags. BUtton to the left of the Font dropdown. Select spoiler.

Are you using a ssd? Disabled virtual memory is the culprit most likely.

Nevermind you are using a SSD.

Disabled or a page file set too low causes this, another user posted the issue and once the page file was increased the error went away. If using the SSD as page file is an issue, buy a secondary mechanical drive.
