Post » Fri Dec 11, 2015 7:11 am

SO i do not have internet at home, where i live i cannot get it , I live on a farm. Now my buddy has internet, So i brought my xbox over and updated it and fallout 4, NOW i cant play fallout , i get to the menu, where it says press any button to play, so i do, and it asks me who are you ? i tell it, and it keeps doing the same thing over and freaking over. if i bring it to my buddys, i can play because i am connected online, it does some syncing B.S and lets me play, i want to play fallout at home where i dont have internet, why the hell do i have to use the internet to play , its a single player game for god sakes. does anyone know how to fix this ???????? i dont understand why it has to sync online for my saved games it has a hard drive they are saved on..............

Can you set your console to not think it wants to be connected to a network, ie offline?

I uninstalled the game, and i am reinstalling maybe that will fix this non-sense. I should not have to need internet to use this product

Welp looks like my 8 day playthrough has come to an abrupt end. I updated Fallout today and the game consistently crashes at the "Please Stand By" screen, even after a hard restart. Not sure if it's better to wait for a follow-up hotfix or try taking a risk and reinstalling the game file.

Anyone else run into this?

I agree Alarith- I remember when I start playing F4 I noticed that when my internet was buggy, so were some of the texture loads - I immediately thought "Uh oh, looks like bad times when the net is down"

And guess what- today after the hard restart I got a mssg saying Fallout 4 requires internet connection... wut? This is Fallout, not Destiny.

I downloaded the update this morning before I left for work and now it just freezes at the screen after pressing any button to start. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game but it just does the same thing. Unfortunately the game forces you to download the update in order to play. Anyone else with this issue?

So was I hard2forget. Someone on the Xbox forum told me to try to reboot the Xbox One but I'm at work right now and can't try until I get home. Not to be a pessimist but I have a feeling that's not gonna work. This is obviously a problem with the update.

**Update - I don't know if there was a hot fix or I just got lucky but - I went to My Games and Apps, noticed that my Game file (29GB) was on my local drive and on my External drive there was another Fallout 4 file that was 105MB (Maybe the Save game file?) so I clicked on the 29GB game file and it said "Getting your Game ready" then finally booted to the menu screen. I *was* able to load my saved game.

Again this could be a hotfix from Bethesda (which wouldn't surprise me, good support) or I may have just gotten lucky but hopefully this helps someone.

Merged a few threads together.

We're investigating. Were all of you disconnecting from Xbox LIVE after getting the title update?

Mine is a little different I posted a forum for it but people have the same problem where the icon freezes and music plays but nothing happened beyond seeing the loading icon I've don't everything in your post for restarting hopefully it's fixed soon so that I can go ahead and get as many hours on skyrim on fallout 4 (not happening anytime soon)

Yeah, same here. I believe I liked the crashes and low, low frame-rate drops more then not being able to play at all lol

I am at about 200 hours of playtime on XB1 and haven't had any notable performance issues or corrupted save files. (I have a ton of save files)

I hope you get it resolved though, corruption is never fun.

I haven't had any game save corruption. I have had some crashes and performance issues but not enough to complain about. I really haven't had any major problems with the game until the update today.

I do not have the update (I power down my Xbox when I go to bed) and when I try to launch Fallout 4 to start the update I get booted back to the main Xbox screen (as if I declined an update prompt), I never do see the update message/prompt, however.
I try to launch game, the "Please stand by" appears, then goes black, sometimes get 1 single blue frame and then boots me.
Tried a hard reset.

Thanks for your hard work, guys.
