XBox shuts down at the Salesman

Post » Fri Dec 11, 2015 3:03 am

I picked up Fallout 4 today. I installed it, and started the game fine. After creating my character I walk around the house until the salesman knocks on the door. Soon after the dialogue starts my Xbox shuts completely down. I can't find any related articles directly linking Fallout 4 to a xbox shutdown. Its the only game in my rather large collection that has ever done it.

I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it several times. Changed the settings on my xbox to use instant start and disabled the auto off feature. My game is installed onto my external harddrive.

My power supply is not hot, nor is my xbox so I've ruled out overheating

Has there been a history of this problem?

Maybe try installing it to the internal one.

That was where I initially stored it . I thought it may have been a memory problem on the drive so my last install was on the terabyte external hard drive.

Cancel this one. Looks like my power brick. I've had to replace my power brick once and bought a Rocksoul one. Looks like it can't handle Fallout 4's processing demand and will need to purchase an official Microsoft brick. Verified with my old microsoft power brick and get past the vault salesman.
