Dissappointment on Xbox !

Just had to say how dissappointed i was to finally get my hands on FNV . I love all your games and never really had issues with your large open world games before like oblivion ( bug free even without update ), Fallout (almost bug free but one update made it better ). I had heard all the talk about bugs before i got FNV but heard there was a patch out already so i got it. As i played through the game i wondered what all the fuss was as it was playing fine but when i got to the strip everything changed. Although i did see some weird events like people floating when you killed them with an explosive or people teleporting small distances this didnt bother as much as when the framerate started to drop. At first it was barely an issue but as i progressed to legion fort it was freezing from seconds to a minute. I couldnt belive that to play the game almost as soon as it was launched i had to get one downloaded patchbut to then play a large portion of the game and for it to start giving framerate issues to the point where i had to stop playing. What the hell are people who dont have xbox live to do, wait for a new editon a few months away? I am now just messing about at the start of the game which is more or less playable waiting at the campfire for a second and who knows how many more patch downloads. As for the game itself when its working i think its great and the subtle changes have all added to it but the waiting for new patches is criminal for a new game and reeks of lazziness/money grabbing/being rushed out the door. I dont buy for one minute that these bugs werent spotted earlier. All this make me think that microsoft and companies working with them want every xbox owner on live by throwing out bugged games which is not fair as some cannot afford this. The first xbox games were fine, the early xbox 360 were fine but things are getting worse.

I would appreciate a reply from admin to say if they have read this !

if you have read any of the post on this forum you would notice it's not just xbox. these problem are on all (pc, ps3, xbox360) the versions of fallout new vegas.

it is a program problem not a hardware problem.

I would tell you the world is an imperfect place however, some of your gripes are valid. It is disheartening to be so excited for a game, only to be met with bugs and hard freezes. I think it's important to realize the folks at Obsidian (Not Behtesda, they just published this game) are working hard to resolve the issues. I'm sure the devs had a time line to meet and these chaps only had 2 years to put this huge world together. I may be mistaken, but Bethesda had 5 years or so to work through FO3 and it was still buggy at later stages in the game.

Some good points but its not like they made it from scratch , the engine and models were already done. But i guess my main concern is the reliance by games developers on patchs.
If consumers had no way of downloading patches then all games would be released perfect or else that company would get such a bad rep that no one would buy their future games.
thnx for reply.
