Walls with gap to roof?

Post » Fri Dec 11, 2015 2:38 am

So I have been dipping my toe in the settlement part for real for a bit now trying to build something bigger then just a couple of walls and a bed. I am trying to build some kind of skyscraqer, but I have found that no matter what I seem to do or what walls I choose there is always a big gap between the top of the walls and the floor above. I is extremely annoying and ugly, is there no way around this?

If you go to wood construction/floors there's a floor piece that's 5 selections to the right that is a floor/ceiling piece. It will prevent that gap.

This floor is basically a roof + floor. Manually put a roof should do the trick if you want another floor style upstairs.

Make sure that you choose "1st-storey floor" (it's called something like that) and not just floor. I don't know why there is not just one type.

I think it's called upper shack floor or something, that'll have the second story floor sit flush with the walls, as normal floors will float above the walls slightly.

What people have said above... under floors there is a wooden floor with an aluminium/corrugated iron which stops the gaps... Alternatively you can put a flat roof under the wooden section...
