do you remember the last place you saw him? like mine ended up in mr house's suite i don't know how... the one he gives to you...

Check the Lucky 38, if hes not there, wait. Eventually it should say he's no longer your companion that he's been sent back to where you found him.

i sent him to lucky 38 but i still have his perk and he wasn't up in my suite

Boone has gone missing from me numerous times. I have learned that if you wait, he will come back.

i found him by going to the 3rd floor(by using the elevator) in vault 22. he just popped up

Yeah... whenever they go missing.. (as long as I don't get the "[name] is dead." pop up .. I just pretend they're off having some other adventure. They always seem to find their way back to you. Unless of course you told them to wait somewhere and just forgot where you put them. Then you might have to retrace your steps a bit.
