Vertibird Troubles

Post » Fri Dec 11, 2015 2:29 am

Hello everyone,
My companion is stuck in a vertibird. I am able to order my companion out of the vertibird but then they just walk back over to it. I have destroyed the vertibird but they walk back over and stand where it used to be. They won't follow me. I can dismiss that companion and go get another but then they walk to the vertibird and stand there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

That's a bit weird.
I'd recommend a prior save reload.

Recommend you save more often.

Does fast travel solve the problem?

Does getting a different companion and sending the 'stuck' companion to a settlement work?

No, it doesn't. I've already tried all of that.

Try disabling and re-enabling them via console, if you're on PC. That might clear their AI.

Yeah I cant see how you get 24 hours into the game and no auto save.. I get one almost every five minutes just by bringing up and then exiting my pip-boy.. Same with going inside or outside a segmented building (any place that goes to loading screen). You may need to adjust your save options to get more frequent auto saves. NO in fact skip the may need and do it. It will save you a lot of trouble later.

You can set your auto saves to 5min. And F5 is your best friend. ;)

That was my last hard save. The rest were quick saves and auto saves. My companion got svck but I didn't realize it, and I ended up continuing on my adventures. I had to load the previous save. Not a major loss. Mostly just did adventuring. Thank you to everyone who tried to help.
