There's so much overlap between the answers it's not even worth polling.

Sometimes it can get a bit tedious reading everything a terminal may have, but I'm afraid I may miss some key piece of info that might lead to a rare item. It really depends on how long I've been at it in one sitting... if I'm in my 5th hour of straight playing for the day, I kind of lose patience with reading everything.

I refuse to anwser because the poll seems nonsensical to me - too many black and white options with nothing in between. I definitely take my time while playing games but doing 100% is not my thing as it seems more like a chore than fun.

That's a rather confusing poll. So, I'll just answer...

It's lore... A big part of why I play these games. I read and listen to everything my character comes across.

Lore, instructions... yes, I read them all.

None of my characters are in a hurry. For me, it dilutes the concept of playing.

My characters are not interested in doing every quest, as most quests will not be fitting to their personality profile.

It depends on my current character.

Depends on the interest and needs of the character.

Reflective of the current character.

IMO, all gaming ( aside from the ME series) achievements are utterly worthless and I have absolutely zero interest in them. They were initially dubbed as the high score equivalent of games of old.

Alas, they have evolved into the conduit of a hidden agenda for corporations to track the details of your hobby.

I take my time and read/listen/talk/loot/do quests, etc.

Also, Ad Victoriam, [censored]s.

On the companion question I chose the middle option, but only because I had to answer every question. I take a companion more often than not, but often go it alone and the companion I choose is usually based on whim. If I'm going to be roaming the countryside I'll often take Dogmeat. Piper is a favorite that gets more adventure time than any other, but I also take Codsworth (He calls me Mr. Pete!) or Cait frequently.

It's a testament to the quality of the companions in this game that I travel with a companion more often than not- a direct contrast to Skyrim and Fallout 3, where I was a literal lone wanderer most of the time. (In NV it was more 50/50).

I'd like to say, that I would like to read the lore and all the terminals, but I find myself just skipping through them as much as possible. Sadly, when I'm playing, I don't want to read any lore in most games, but when I'm watching Youtubers play them, I'm interested in them reading all the terminals. Is that..hypocritical at all?

Dialogue isn't even worth it, since I cannot open pathways of interesting dialogue. I just get vague notion of dialogue.

I wish they had put less time in Settlements and added more natural cities of their own, so I could talk to more people and get more quest.

Even though I know a lot of people are unhappy with the dialogue system, it's so worth reading all the stuffs in terminals, find it super interesting. Sometimes it leads you to a secret spot you didn't notice while clearing, sometimes it just gives you a sense of what the place you're at looked like before the war / before you arrived and killed all the peoples :P

I especially enjoy the terminals found in all the Vaults.

Reading terminals in vaults is an absolute must!

One of the treats of Fallout is working out what sick experiment VaultTec were running!

One of my favourite experiences with 4 so far was entering what appeared to be a ruined school building and finding it was actually a vault. I love exploring Vaults and the one's I have found so far in 4 have all been interesting.

Poll is badly made and very subjective. It already has this hate towards achievers written all over it, like there is only one good way to play the game - the way poll author plays it.

Hardly any of the questions has an answer that fits my play style. Only black, white and some bulls*it answers.

Uh, I'll just say I absorb as much information I can get from any source, see everything I can possibly see, and take my time doing it along with everything else in the game. To sum up my answer to this monster of a poll.

I prefer not to use companions, although recently I've been using Curie as she has grown on me. Will probably have her remain at Red Rocket when I get her to fully idolized. As for the factions, I can't really say as I haven't gotten to that point in the main quest where they start playing their roles. So far though, I'm liking the Railroad. The way they operate is perfect for my character, and my character sees it as a well enough cause to support as he has come to care about synths as time progresses. The only question being what exactly will the Railroad ultimately contribute to the Commonwealth in the end. It's a good cause and all, but uh, what about those first world problems.

I try not to miss anything important but I tend to skim through everything, there's so much.

The information messages that pop up when playing are worth reading though.

I try to do everything basically. I collect notes, holotapes and unique items. One thing that I really miss from previous games is the faded out name when you have listened to a holotape or read a note/book. The Misc tab has so much stuff in it that it's hard for me to find an item I just picked up without remembering it's name.

I tend to go slow and steady. Partly because I usually take a stealthy approach and partly because I want to explore very nook and cranny. I'm refraining from fully commiting to factions because of other factions turning hostile upon accepting/completing particular quests. I like to keep my options open.

Companions I mainly do for the story and perks. Once I've done both I select another one to accompany me. Haven't had it happen yet, but if I'm fully done with all companions I'll neglect them from then on.

I've done most of the achievements by now. The majority were ones I got naturally. I did a few races towards the end to get the various faction achievements before reloading an earlier save. I've only got the 20 bobbleheads and 100 happiness settlement left. I'll get the bobblehead one soon enough, but I probably won't get the settlement one until mods come around. It's just a virtually broken achievement with the most obscure requirements.
